English A beautiful post-apocalyptic fairy tale. It does not deny the author of the original with elaborate characters, because that is exactly what Jeff Lemire focuses on, and he rewards the viewer with each episode with another piece of the "what, why, who and how" puzzle. Unexpected things often happen, often exciting and especially in the final parts also genuinely touching and one hundred percent impressive. I hope, I hope, I hope that Sweet Tooth gets the second season. And that a book will be published in the Czech Republic soon. ()

English To be honest, I wasn't too keen on it. The promotional materials made Sweet Tooth feel like teen fantasy, a genre that usually gives me the creeps, but in the end, I made it through the whole series in one afternoon. It moves along nicely with some pretty interesting and rough stuff happening in the course of a few episodes. The only thing that bothered me were the make-up effects of the hybrids, which often are a little too "cute" and give the impression of a show aimed at kids, which is far from accurate in a story where infected unfortunates are merrily killed and burned alive. A funny thing is the striking similarities with the current pandemic situation, the penultimate episode could have taken place in the virology institute in Wuhan :D After eight episodes it's played out nicely and I'm quite curious about how it will continue. English I admit that I didn't believe it at all. Who would believe a story where the main hero is a little boy with deer ears and horns. After the first episode, however, I succumbed nicely to the series. I succumbed to this post-apocalyptic dystopian-sounding world, which is often portrayed subtly, but still thoroughly enough to engulf you in the atmosphere of this ruined America. I was also intrigued by the theme, which, although sounding very crazy, actually works quite well. It's like an alternative variation of The Last of Us. Especially when it comes to the central duo. Sometimes it doesn't know whether it should be cute and childishly playful or dark and brutal like the holocaust itself. But for me, it's good. After two seasons, I am satisfied and I am very curious about where this story will go next. ()
