English I decided to review this two-part comic adaptation of Batman as a whole. The Long Halloween definitely didn’t skimp on the cast. I didn’t expect such a plethora of DC villains, even in my wildest dreams (Calendar Man was a new one for me). Personally, I liked the pessimistic, depression-soaked atmosphere; it fit the story very well. In terms of action, I don't have many complaints; it tries to stay grounded (except for the over-the-top finale), though I’m a bit puzzled by how Catwoman is portrayed as constantly saving Batman’s neck :D But oh well. The final twist was predictable, which is a letdown, but overall, I enjoyed this three-hour ride within the limits. It gets a strong three stars. 7/10 P.S. The opening credits were, in a word, DIVINE! ()
