English While I'm a fan of the shorter series format, it definitely wouldn't hurt to flesh it out a bit more here. I know that in this genre it's desirable to have some distance between the characters and the viewer, but I still would have liked to have gone deeper with them. Or at least with the protagonist. Hae-in played his part more than adequately, but except for the ending where he was given room to stretch a bit, his role was written pretty flat. The soundtrack is a bit more English again, but there's no avoiding that trend. And actually, I'm not even complaining about it that much. I shed a tear at the end, so all good. 4 stars. ()

English I’d really like to know if Koreans ever manage to completely miss the mark in their productions. Like, creating something they’d end up being embarrassed about. But so far, I haven’t come across anything like that… D.P. tackles an interesting and quite sensitive topic: bullying during mandatory military service. The creators approached it very cleverly. They combined this serious subject with comedic elements, which you’ll find many of during your viewing (it might sound strange on paper, but the opposite is true... it actually works). The bullying is depicted quite realistically at times, making it understandable that someone less psychologically resilient might snap and do something drastic, as happens here (and it’s quite a drastic snap). The second season focuses more on how to handle these socially and media-sensational cases during court proceedings. So yes, D.P. has come up with something new. And it succeeded. Totally. I’m genuinely amazed. I give it an 8/10. ()
