English I feel this had the potential to be like nothing I've seen in a long time, but after the first episode, it's clear to me that a miracle is definitely not happening and that this is not the type of show I expected. I was hoping for a hard-edged, nihilistic post-apocalypse that doesn't fuck around with anything and that presents an elaborate dystopian world, but the opposite is true and although the visuals, or rather the cinematography, is cleverly dark, everything around it isn't so good. The rules of the world (oxygen, masks...) don't make sense and are treated the way the creators find convenient (why do they have to wear them sometimes and not others??), at certain moments the series feels like an infantile cringe Netflix movie, the occasional CGI mess (the tornado storm in episode 1) looks awful, and obviously the creators don't bother with any logical rules or with making things resemble reality (a walk through a tornado just like that, with the hero coming out with a smooth hairstyle like from a hair salon…). And if they're not able to keep up with such banalities during the first episode, I'm sure it's only going to get worse as the episodes go on. Nonsense without a shred of an attempt at perfection and maybe the series flop of the year. ()
