Truth, nothing groundbreaking. There have been a few stories from the American K9 group here. But when it comes to a good ending, it can't go wrong. A lovely family affair, which surprised me how nice it looked. Yes, it's Hallmark style, but it's incredibly pleasant Hallmark style and if family movies were only with such mood and atmosphere, I wouldn't be mad at all. The fourth star was added by the end of the film + closing credits proving that reality was drawn from here. And it helped a good cause. Ruby is a great heroine. ()
Rescued by Ruby doesn't really stand out from other films like it, except perhaps for the fact that even though it has a canine protagonist, it doesn't try to play on emotions. In terms of content and form, this is a made-for-TV movie for just one viewing, but it’s nevertheless told in an endearing way. You follow the story of a policeman and a dog who actually save each other's lives, without any unnecessary pathos. ()
