English I have this quirk where, even if a film’s topic doesn’t interest me, I’ll still watch it if it’s made in Scandinavia. This time, Norway took the spotlight, but the result was as expected — not great. I’m no professional dancer, though I can certainly take dance moves to absurd extremes if the music’s good, but the choreography here felt pretty average. The acting wasn’t anything special either, and while the story focuses on the relationship between a mother and daughter, Lisa Teige, who plays the daughter, was the only reason I kept watching while tidying up the living room. I was also expecting more rap and was surprised to find more dance music, but even that felt like the work of an amateur producer. In the end, the film didn’t offer much, though at least I discovered Lisa Teige — whether that’s worth anything remains to be seen. ()
