Blind masseur in color? Well, I didn't really believe it, but I have to say that the color camera really pleasantly surprised me. This is a truly Zatoichi-like story, where even at home, in his native village, Ichi can't find peace and has to fight for his life, even though he doesn't want to and would rather just live with the fact that everyone leaves him alone. The sadness in his face easily transfers to the viewer. ()
