Extractors

At the Kacanovy swimming pool, Mr. Štrébl recommended me to watch the Voyo Extractors. So I did, and over the weekend I watched this six-part series. The theme is great. It's nice to see someone tackling such a theme. I generally like that Voyo is exploring genres that haven't been touched for a long time. However, I have several points that didn't quite sit right with me. It's clear that I can't compare it to the top stories in the industry that have emerged in recent years. Nevertheless, I can't shake the feeling that there are moments where it's a bit wtf (which the director probably picked up from filming Lice, because it's similar there), alternating between heavy naivety not only of the girls around whom the story revolves, but also of the team running the extractors. The setting is great, the camera work is excellent, and the theme, despite all its flaws, is still worth seeing. (07/22/2024)
