Plots(1)

A late-night slaying at a bar called McCool's is the point of departure as Detective Dehling, bartender Randy, and Randy's lawyer-cousin Carl project their fantasies onto the sexy Jewel, whose boyfriend is the corpse in question. As each man spills his guts -- Dehling to his priest, Randy to an aging hit man, and Carl to his therapist -- it becomes clear that the femme fatale Jewel has been manipulating the smitten men for her own purposes, namely a house full of cutting-edge electronic gadgets. English It started One Night at McCool's and ended in a good film with a narrative structure similar to Kurosawa’s Rashomon. Funny, original and superbly cast. Even Liv Tyler is believable in her fateful beauty. ()

English A pitch-black comedy with an angelic witch that every guy would kill just to catch a glimpse of (more than a glimpse, actually). And they do kill. It's just a shame that the brilliant dialogue and gags didn't make it all the way through to the end, which is ridiculously dark even for a no-holds-barred comedy. ()
