Musical dramedies have surprised me more than once with genuinely superb experiences. So, when I saw this one on Netflix, I didn’t hesitate to dive in. While it didn't completely blow me away, it was still an enjoyable watch. The emotions are somewhat superficial, and the director pushes the story along at a breakneck pace, but it’s ultimately a touching tale about the friendship between a washed-up star and a sick boy. The ending is particularly heartwarming.
