English Originally, I thought the movie would be about swimming, only to realize during watching that it's actually about two Syrian sisters escaping to the west. And the film is primarily about that escape. About the life in Syria, how they make plans to escape to the west. But also about how they actually escape through Turkey to the European Union. How they encounter human hyenas, but also those who sincerely want to help. This film is extremely powerful and quite suggestive in this regard. I just wonder if everyone fleeing to Europe is as good as they are portrayed in this film. I'm convinced that's not the case and here they make everything terribly sunny. Nevertheless, the girls managed it, overcame the initial feeling of uncertainty and conditioned fear of Europeans towards unknown nations, acclimated themselves and thus deserve my huge respect. In the role and views of Matthias Schweighöfer (who actually appeared relatively little in the film), there was everything I feel towards these people and this wave of emigration. ()
