English I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a BBC-produced series this much. Lately, I've been more accustomed to politically correct propaganda, which often spoils many good stories (like Terry Pratchett's). So, I was completely unprepared for this. From the very first episode, I was excellently entertained, and I found myself forgiving the creators for many shortcomings because it was clear that they didn't take themselves too seriously. / Lesson learned: How to become a murderer against your will quickly and easily. English I enjoy this BBC style of drama series — interesting themes packed into three or four episodes with stellar performances. The limited runtime keeps the plot moving without unnecessary filler, which is often a problem with longer series. However, the premise in this one felt incredibly absurd. David Tennant delivers a great performance, but his character's situation is so far-fetched that it seems like it was concocted by someone not thinking clearly. ()

English Inside Man as an unknown and not-so-promoted mini-series is a huge surprise, and there hasn't been such a fun and genre-blending whole for a long time! The plot is admittedly hard to describe, but when I say that it combines absolutely perfectly a crime investigative detective story along with black light humour, plus absurd plot developments, great pacing and twists and turns at every corner, I'm really not kidding! David Tennant and Stanley Tucci (Kingsman) are both great and believable, delivering great performances and after watching it I applaud not only them, but especially the director for having the courage to do something so novel, original and quite risky, as not everyone can mix genres like this on the spot. It's a fun, fast-paced mini-series that is at times far-fetched to the point of absurdity, but that's actually half of its success and the magic that leaves you with a great feeling of honest filmmaking after watching it.
