The premise feels pretty small-town — and it is. Extremely small-town. But with Chris O'Dowd in the lead, I had hopes for a bit of a spark, recalling his IT Crowd days. However, given his other roles, I should have realized that spark wouldn't come. And indeed, it didn’t. Despite the promising setup, this series turns out to be a purely relaxing watch with nothing particularly exciting or memorable. It’s pure mediocrity.
