English That was another piece of shallow bollocks. A bunch of friends start dying after a tarot reading; one dies, another dies, of course they immediately tell themselves it's the tarot cards’ fault, and by sheer coincidence they find a crazy woman an hour away online who happens to know a lot about the deadly cards and conveniently opens the door at midnight to chat with them over tea... And at that point, I stopped caring about the movie. This is just another one of those awful teen horror movies that are made just to give a no-name director something to waste money on. A debut of both creators and actos, and that's what it looked like – no emotions, terrible dialogue, even worse chemistry between the characters, let along suffering during their own deaths (this was really hell to sit through), and a classic boilerplate plot with no invention. The only thing worth mentioning is the rather original idea around the tarot, something we haven't seen in a horror movie in a long time (if ever...), plus the quality visuals of all those boogeymen, but what good is all that when they're on the set for like five minutes in the whole movie. Tragic. And unfortunately, Spider-Man's sidekick Jacob Batalon not only had nothing to work with here, but even seemed as bad as the rest of them. Had someone more skilled taken over, this could have been the horror movie of the year, as there's no end to the fantasy with this theme and the tarot monsters, but this was a dud and had I seen it in the theater, I would have walked out halfway through. Even Saturday night TV with my grandmother is better. ()

English The most mediocre and classic mainstream horror genre film that can possibly be made for the least discerning audience (teenage girls). On the one hand, I appreciate that the whole movie isn't just haunted by one boogeyman, but every single protagonist has their own demon and they surprisingly have great make-up effects, so all those scenes are relatively fine. It's a shame that there's no gore, because if if the film had been conceived of it as a fun bloody killing spree it would have been better; this way they rely on ineffective scares and a not very effective atmosphere. Too bad. Visually it's fine, but the story is the most basic and you don’t get to form any relationship with the characters. Pure 50% ()
