English Literally a textbook example of a generic, pointless, formulaic Netflix comedy that can be pigeonholed as "just to get something out before Christmas", which I was adamant would definitely not earn more than two stars from me. And earn them it did, even though it does indeed meet all the criteria of a silly, redundant and unsurprising film, but I also can't enthusiastically deny that I enjoyed it. The humour is simple and silly but works for me just fine, the body swap doesn't use a large percentage of anything novel, but the toddler-dog swap is just brilliant and this one entertained me perfectly. So, despite its major flaws and characteristics of a Netflix dumb flick, I'm happy to rate it a perfectly decent three stars without much regret. ()
