The first part was an enjoyable B-movie surprise, but nothing that needed a sequel, so this film was written off more or less from the announcement and unfortunately it's a class worse. Plot-wise, there's not much action either, the robot dogs were alright, but the whole thing just reeks of mediocrity. It doesn't hurt to watch it, so those 3 stars in the end, yeah, but it’s pretty useless. 5/10. ()
The first part is a favourite of mine, so I was waiting for the second one like a kid at Christmas, but although it's a watchable one-shot, I wasn't too happy with it. I was expecting a much bigger blast, but unfortunately the film had trouble getting me into the plot and I found it too distant. The characters come together in a very unnatural way, the plot is too straightforward and uninteresting, the action is mediocre and the budget isn’t great, either, I even found the visual effects weaker than in the first installment. The only thing they added is new Robo-dogs, but on they also deprived us of the whole main bunch of bastards, any bigger or more epic battle, and summing up I'm not very excited. I was expecting an epic sequel to the excellent first film and got a weaker concoction which I didn't like much, with weak action, bland characters and almost no chemistry between the leading duo. This was not very good. ()
