The burlesque-pantomime style film is set in Budapest, and recalls the good old days of black and white films and football in the nineteen twenties. Ede Minarik, the owner of a small laundry has only one great and overwhelming passion: football. His aim is to see the team of Csabagyöngye SC in the first league. And this is why he loses his laundry as well as his family. He recruits the members of the team one by one, he pays the rent for the football field, and instead of money incentives he tries to stimulate his team with his own fiery enthusiasm. He is incessantly harassed by debt collectors as well as team recruiting agents. Even the magic goal-keeper of the team is poached away before a match of key importance, but Minarik still does not give up. (official distributor synopsis)
