Kojak who is Hungarian and once used to be called "Kócsag" arrives in Budapest to participate at a conference for authors of detective stories. He meets his old colleagues. The fact that professor Laczina is found dead in his home comes in handy. Kojak recounts the stages of the last day of the professor's life and has more than twenty people arrested accused of causing the professor's death by way of their neglectful, selfish and irresponsible work. In the meantime two killers from the Italian-American Mafia try to get Kojak out of the way. His life is saved by malfunctioning objects. The two criminals board the aeroplane for America in hand-cuffs, but Kojak is left here by accident. (official distributor synopsis)
