General Boka and his small team defend their "sweet ground" against the heavy odds of the red-shirt team, outwitting them. They could not have won if the common soldier, Nemecsek, whom they condemned as a traitor, had not discovered the rich Geréb's treason, taking on humiliating cold baths in exchange. At the battle's decisive moment, half-dead, Nemecsek throws the foul-fighting Áts Feri over. At his deathbed both teams pay their respects. But triumph is pointless, building operations start on the "ground". (official distributor synopsis)
