A classic and proven fairy tale theme with a significantly more modest budget and cast compared to the popular version starring Libuše Šafránková in the lead role. Vlasta Janečková's Cinderella is an unassuming studio production, but it stands out from the average and gray through charming songs; it's essentially a fairy tale musical. Overall impression: 60%. This is the first of the fairy tales that I saw for the first time at Christmas in 2014. In childhood, I had a connection to fairy tales, and I watched them like everyone else, but later on, they didn't interest me as much. Here, I'm enriching my education, and I must say that even this older black-and-white version is magical, and Eva Hrušková fits perfectly into her role. (12/25/2014)
