We can all remember the teenage nightmare that was a holiday with our parents. But it's especially infuriating when this only comes about through an unfortunate series of coincidences. Dany and Filip, however, never give up hope. The feature film The Rafters is full of the laughter, suspense and embarrassment that arises from the unexpected situations that face the boys on their last family holiday, where they experience things that their parents really shouldn't know about. When Dany promises Filip he'll help him to pick up a girl, he has no idea of the obstacles fate will put in their way. Despite having to put up with Dany's parents and his little brother, Honzík, as well as their strict instructor, Borek, the discovery of a girls' rafting course offers endless possibilities to help Filip fulfill his dream. What awaits them in their adventures on the river? Swimming, boredom, rapids, tiredness, love, disappointment and drunkenness - but mainly sex, drugs and rock'n'roll. (official distributor synopsis)
