While it's one of the oldest sci-fi films and it deals with encountering an alien race that has a pacifistic society, it doesn't change the fact that you can still see how outdated this piece is and that it's missing something. Still, it's an interesting example of how sci-fi has evolved, even in terms of how various technologies were portrayed.
