Reviews (1)
I prefer John Wayne in westerns rather than in war movies, but he is also inherently associated with them. In the case of the film "Back to Bataan," he was accompanied by another great actor - Anthony Quinn. The war movie focuses on the rebellion in the Philippines, where the locals stood up against Japanese domination. Neither of the acting stars dominates the film, but the performer of little Maxim, who steals the show and his fate is the strongest moment. The gunfights in the film are somewhat weak, on the other hand, something similar can be seen in modern movies, so I wouldn't rate it so critically. ()
