English Considerably weaker than the first film... A classically typical plot, repetition of the good jokes of the previous film and de facto everything like the first film, just a little more adolescent and awkward. Despite all the negatives, however, I still had a good time on the second expedition, mainly thanks to the excellent Clavier and his four roles. The end of the film was also successful, and it is incomprehensible to me why the third film did not benefit from the outlined plot. A decently fun, crazy film. ()

English Another tidal wave of simple sketch entertainment that lacks the unpretentiousness of the first part, but it’s also a step ahead in terms of acting and plot liveliness. Of course, it is, to put it mildly, utter bullshit where the viewer has to be prepared for anything, regardless of logic or the necessary formal self-control, but the relentless effort to make people laugh is infectious and both main actors really give their best to their roles. Unfortunately, and this is by far the biggest problem from my point of view, with the exception of Jacquillo and Godefroy, all the actors are terribly unlikeable and just watching them got on my nerves, so the most significant (and probably the only) domain of the sequel is once again the non-committal fooling around of two medieval imbeciles, whom we simply have to root for in the midst of a an assortment of assholes. I admire the courage of the creators and Reno and Clavier to do something like this. 60% ()

English The curse of the sequel is upheld again. The first one was iconic, but the second one is a mockery. I was annoyed that there was someone yelling practically the whole movie and it just got on my nerves. I laughed the most when Jacquille was driving the car in the woods. Christian Clavier did not disappoint again. It's not the great first film, but I'm still laughing a lot. ()

English Everyone here is incredibly affected right from the start, which is definitely not something one can tolerate for nearly two hours. It was present in the first movie too, but there it was still quite interesting due to the story and, most importantly, the engaging confrontations. That's not so much the case in the second installment. The game is simply played to achieve the most thrilling outcome possible. Not much fuss was made with the screenplay. It's quite infantile in places. The charm of the first film is lost, and Christian Clavier, who plays several characters, is incredibly tiresome and annoying, perhaps because he portrays all the roles in the same manner. A terrible comedy. ()
