An intriguing artistic statement with the perfect Kiefer Sutherland which is hindered by the unnecessarily complicated form and can therefore only be digested with difficulty. But the longer you watch Gauguin, the more anxious you become to find out what path led the painter there of all places, where we met him at the beginning. Thanks to the unforgettable scene of creating an epic masterpiece, a unique film, but one that is very moody and idiosyncratic.
