Plots(1)

Charlie Brooker, the creator of the BBC-Channel4 project Black Mirror, has himself defined the series saying: "If technology is a drug – and it does feel like it – then what, precisely, are the side-effects? This area – between delight and discomfort – is where Black Mirror is set. The "black mirror" of the title is the cold, shiny screen of a TV, a monitor, a smartphone.” The three stand-alone dramas are sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales with a techno-paranoia bent. Joan Is Awful (2023) (S06E01)

English Black Mirror kicks things off with a new season and right off the bat gives us classic musings on A.I. and the paradox of modern times. At first, the episode seems like one woman's living nightmare, but by the end, it segues into a chilling thesis on artificial intelligence and philosophical discussions regarding the lives of non-existent characters. Cool. ()

Loch Henry (2023) (S06E02)

English Excellent, chilling, atmospheric and unexpectedly "ordinary" for Black Mirror, and I like that as an addition to the series. ()

Beyond the Sea (2023) (S06E03)

English In the end, a somewhat predictable episode, but as an idea, a well-delivered motif that raises in the viewer the question "what would it be like" and awakens moral doubts about similar technology of the future. If it was 20 minutes shorter and had more twists, it would be a perfect five. ()

Demon 79 (2023) (S06E05)

English A terribly ordinary episode with a not very original theme. It doesn't downright suck, but when I compare it with the old seasons of Black Mirror, it's a diametrically different and several times weaker result... ()
