Prioritize:
Colors, especially the Technicolor, suit westerns well. The scenery looks good and so do the characters. John Wayne plays yet another grizzled character who must navigate life, most likely by falling in love with the right woman. Will he succeed? It's almost a pointless question, but this film has some good scenes in places. The fight in the mud is good.
