During the gold rush of '98 miner Roy Glennister strikes it rich in the wilds of Alaska. When a corrupt gold commissioner and his buddies try to confiscate Glennister's claim in court, the miner and his partner decide to fight back. Gold and women. Exactly the connection that creates the problems in The Spoilers. Gold because men fight over it and are capable of killing, and women because... well, the same reason, really. Everyone wants all the gold and a beautiful woman all to themselves. It's not entirely shallow; the characters are intriguing, so this film deserves a higher rating.
