English A young and likeable gangster is subjected to very harsh training to infiltrate the police department and in the end he screws everyone over. A fairly simple and unoriginal affair, but that didn't bother me as much as the slower pace and, more importantly, there's no quality action sequence that could capture my attention. There is absolutely no vigour or violence, I found the visuals cheap and unconventional for Korea and the editing very frantic, so for me a very average film. I'm getting tired of these gangster movies. 55% ()

English Mr. Socrates totally lived up to my expectations. Rae-won Kim was born for roles like this and I like him in these more than in romance ones. When he makes that sassy face of his, it makes me go weak in the knees and forget everything else. As for the script, it was interesting and definitely had some depth, I just found it unnecessarily harsh at times. I thought the main character's transformation was pretty realistic too. You could see from the beginning that he had anger in him, but he wasn't a completely bad person. Nothing miraculous, but a nice movie yes. 3.5 stars. ()
