English By Caesar! Throw Fréderic Forestier to the lions!!. What a sad rape of a brilliant comic book. Only a few funny fragments were taken out of it, the rest was filled with humour on the level of the lamest TV shows. The previous film adaptation wasn't great either, but at least it compensated by sticking to its source; this one was all over the place! René Goscinny must be turning in his grave. ()

English This amounts to something like how the French dragged Asterix, their national treasure, through a cesspool. This hogwash only has the plot and some of the characters in common with the original comics. Some of the gags are quite funny, but Delon's "Ave Já" isn’t funny even the first time. The first film is good and the second is worse, but it is also funnier. The third film is embarrassing and sad. ()

English Stupider, more expensive, more awkward—together! The elixir for the Olympics is familiar from the Tour de France, but since doping development is always a few steps ahead of doping officials, the laurels are predictably collected by Doctor Panoramix’s protégés. As a viewer, I merely participated, but apparently, that’s enough... ()

English This is very weak. The replacement of the actor playing Asterix didn't really hurt much, as the attempt to further emphasize the pop-culture note, which is already completely out of place, like the lightsaber... The music is tragic compared to the other film, not to mention that the story is pretty boring too, and Brutus is an annoyance of the highest order. The cameo of athletes also didn't really stand out. ()

English After a long hiatus, another Asterix movie has seen the light of day, but the only thing it has in common with the previous two parts is the actor playing Obelix. Alain Delon has incredible charisma and was perfect as Caesar. Brutus is a great villain, but he's no match for villain of the first installment played by Roberto Benigni. And that's where it ends with the performances, the rest of the cast (including all the over-the-top cameos) were average to below average. The Olympics aren't bad, but the filler around it brings the whole thing down. In short, a somewhat inferior sequel that runs on a bad script and overblown grandeur. ()
