Deck the Halls

The old familiar tale of two restless neighbours who play pranks on each other and in the end there is supposed to be a lesson. Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick were less funny than usual, but I'll still give it 2* for the beautiful production design and a couple of bright moments. (12/24/2010)

A typical American Christmas comedy that doesn't offer anything worth revisiting. Hence, I gave it two stars. Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick are the only highlights, standing off against each other in a storyline that practically begs for holiday spirit. Unfortunately, it's not much of a spectacle. It had the potential to be much funnier, but instead, it turns out to be a standard family afternoon movie that you can watch while cooking and eating lunch without complete silence. (10/23/2023)
