Meet Buraki, the vicious, 200-meter long Imoogi serpent from ancient Korea. Together, they will destroy Los Angeles and possibly the world unless reincarnated warriors Ethan and Sarah can outrun them and resurrect the Good Imoogi, Buraki's ancient nemesis. Dragon Wars reveals every last detail of Earth's greatest battle, a war you'll only believe when you see it for yourself. (official distributor synopsis)

English As it is the case in many movies, if you don't stop this or that, the apocalypse and the end of the world will come. Dragon Wars offers nothing new, for the most part. When I found out that the film cost "only" a little over $30 million, I was surprised, after all, many films with several times the budget have done worse. The visual effects were decent, despite my expectations, and fell into the cinematic cesspool of the shark "movies" of recent years, for example. I don't complain about the actors in films of this type (here it might have been possible). Excellent final battle of "biblical" proportions. Overall 50%. ()

English Immediately after a few minutes, I had to nod approvingly at how well-executed the special effects are in this film. Seriously. It's pseudo-epic, but the effects really stand out, even after seven years since this Korean oddity was released to the world. It’s a film that sought to capitalize on the popularity of fantasy movies and intertwine them with the modern world. The story is silly, the acting even more so, and the jokes didn't quite land except for maybe one. Sure, why not? This is quite a classic B-movie, which I happen to like. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but that hour and a half didn't kill me. ()
