I always thought of Gremlins 2 as a comedy, and that's truly its defining characteristic. It's a comedy, and it primarily works as a comedy. Some scenes are truly entertaining and memorable even after many years. The critique of giant corporations is presented nicely, amusingly, and exaggeratedly. It's a different film than the first one, but that doesn't mean it's not entertaining. It simply is entertaining. ()
