Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of "beautiful minds" that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard's roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends, fellow CalTech scientists Wolowitz and Koothrappali. However, Leonard sees in Penny a whole new universe of possibilities... including love. (official distributor synopsis)

The Vegas Renormalization (2009) (S02E21)

English How do you cheer up a friend who just got dumped? Take him to Las Vegas! Sheldon is overjoyed — Leonard brings him back a shirt and he gets the apartment to himself. Howard learns the true meaning of friendship in Vegas, and Penny gains a lot of new insights. A fun episode overall. / "Oh, I miss her already!" / "Okay, I’m sleepy now, get out." ()

The Classified Materials Turbulence (2009) (S02E22)

English Howard's luck and despair aren't driven by unattainable women, but by the functionality of a toilet on the International Space Station. Leonard gives Stuart some sneaky advice, but it leads to an unexpected problem. / "Smell that? That’s the smell of new comic books." / "For what it’s worth, my mother says that when we deceive for personal gain, we make Jesus cry." ()

The Monopolar Expedition (2009) (S02E23)

English Sheldon is suddenly faced with an exciting new challenge that impacts everyone else's lives as well. Howard is initially opposed but believes he can build a crossbow even in harsh conditions. The season two finale was both entertaining and amusing. / "Why does everybody keep telling me what time it is? / "Our dreams are very small, aren’t they?" / "We're out of ice." / "There's no time for a crossbow, find me an icicle." ()

Season 3 (2009) (S03)

English Even after having watched Season 3, I have to say that the show is almost flawless so far. It is greatly entertaining with its constant supply of awesome one-liners. The writers are still sticking to the tried and tested model which has been working perfectly, although Penny is clearly evolving – she quotes Star Wars and is annoyed by dumb men, which didn’t use to be the case! Anyway, Season 3 was great, and I had fun. ()

The Electric Can Opener Fluctuation (2009) (S03E01)

English The opening of the first episode of season three felt like an ISIS invasion, but the plot quickly settled back into its familiar, enjoyable rhythm. Sheldon is still aiming for the Nobel Prize, Leonard is pining for Penny, Howard is after any woman he can find, and Raj is basking in memories. The creators did a great job kicking off the new season, and I was thoroughly satisfied. ()

The Jiminy Conjecture (2009) (S03E02)

English The storyline with the cricket, Toby, was entertaining, and I learned how risky it is to cram three people into a closet. However, Leonard and Penny's storyline felt stagnant and didn’t really amuse me. ()

The Gothowitz Deviation (2009) (S03E03)

English A great episode. Both storylines worked well; Howard and Raj's goth experiment was hilarious, but Sheldon's training methods stole the show. "Boy, that does smell good. Too bad it’s Monday." ()

The Pirate Solution (2009) (S03E04)

English It's amazing what a little six-month stall can do to a young, promising scientist. Luckily, Dr. Sheldon Cooper, with his unique brand of empathy, comes to the rescue. This allows Raj to keep enjoying his beef and living in a place with plenty of personal space. I loved that the most intense scenes were perfectly underscored by "Eye of the Tiger" — that was a treat. "That's happy, right?" "Yeah." "Nailed it." ()

The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary (2009) (S03E05)

English The creators delivered two separate storylines this time, and both were highly entertaining. In one, Raj uses Sheldon's eidetic memory to win a card tournament. In the other, Leonard sets Penny an impossible task. Both storylines lead to unexpected conclusions. "Still can't believe she's going out with me." "Nobody can." ()

The Cornhusker Vortex (2009) (S03E06)

English The plot was decent, and I had a few good laughs, but this episode just felt like it was missing some spark. / "Don't you have access to women who will do it for money?" / "That's my boyfriend. He's really smart." ()

The Guitarist Amplification (2009) (S03E07)

English I enjoyed this episode much more than the previous one, even though it was all about relationships. Sheldon’s childhood horror stories added a fresh twist that had me laughing a lot, especially the scene with the robot from Stuart's store. / "Leonard, when that woman moved in three years ago I told you not to talk to her, and now look, we’re going to be late for the movies." / "What? Who would tell you something like that? Why would you tell her something like that? ()

The Adhesive Duck Deficiency (2009) (S03E08)

English The show takes a sharp turn in this episode, with a plot soaked in drug-induced antics. Both the scientific expedition, out to watch a meteor shower, and Penny, who injures herself because she didn’t buy those whimsical duck stickers in time, end up in a daze. Unexpectedly, Sheldon steps up as the knight in shining armor, and as everyone knows, a hero always looks. "Oh, menopause, nature's birth control!" ()

The Vengeance Formulation (2009) (S03E09)

English A fantastic episode where even Howard's relationship issues, or rather his issues with himself, were entertaining. Barry Kripke strikes again, and only the immediate moral support from Leonard and Raj keeps Dr. Cooper in the game. / "I'm here, right? You see me." / "Well, I'm going back to India. What's your plan?" ()

The Gorilla Experiment (2009) (S03E10)

English A fantastic episode where Howard boasts excessively about his new girlfriend, revealing an unexpectedly complex side of his character. The most bizarre moment, though, is when Penny asks Sheldon to teach her "a little physics." From that point on, I couldn't stop laughing, and Penny's final speech was the cherry on top. / "Perhaps there's hope for you after all." / "My mother was right, hell is real." ()

The Maternal Congruence (2009) (S03E11)

English Even though Dr. Beverly Hofstadter’s second appearance didn’t quite match her first, I couldn’t bring myself to dock a star. I had too much fun watching, and it turns out I share some surprisingly similar views on Christmas with Sheldon. / "Yikes!" / "Leonard, tell her I have a girlfriend!" "I don’t know what you're talking about." ()

The Psychic Vortex (2010) (S03E12)

English Episode twelve brings some unbelievable twists: from a double date featuring Howard, Leonard ends up being the biggest loser, and Sheldon actually helps Raj pick up a girl. Now I guess we can believe anything, even psychics. / "Namaste, white people!" / "Have you chosen one to copulate with?" / "Hulk sad!" ()

The Bozeman Reaction (2010) (S03E13)

English It was fascinating to see Sheldon's herd instinct kick in when he felt threatened. Also, being robbed like that must be a nightmare — I mean, I love my consoles and games too much. Not much gets to me, but this would hit really hard. ()

The Einstein Approximation (2010) (S03E14)

English Episode 14 was all about Sheldon. His methods for breaking through his mental block were fantastic, overshadowing everything else. However, I was still entertained by Howard and Raj's roller skating. "I haven’t seen him this stuck since he tried to figure out the third Matrix movie." / "Leonard doesn't snore." "I wasn't talking to Leonard." / "I don't recommend the salmon; I saw it in the kitchen." ()

The Large Hadron Collision (2010) (S03E15)

English Valentine's Day is approaching, and Leonard has a big surprise for Penny, which ironically ends up being an even bigger shock for Sheldon — and not in a good way. Another fantastic episode by the creators that kept me entertained from start to finish. /"My lactose-intolerant boyfriend is going to eat all this, then I’m going to climb on his back and rocket to the moon?" / "Well, our plane leaves at 9 a.m. Do you think you’ll feel better by then?" "Yep. ‘Cause I’m gonna be dead." ()

The Excelsior Acquisition (2010) (S03E16)

English Episode 16 brought a lot of interesting moments. Raj redefined the concept of a walkman, Sheldon got his comeuppance for a good deed, and there was a Stan Lee signing at Stuart’s comic book store. "I'm sad to say I taught him those moves." / "I don’t trust banks. I believe that when the robots rise up, ATMs will lead the charge." ()
