Like snow falling in the summer, like a cicada lamenting the coming of winter, in a town watched over by a whale in the sky, the extraordinary never seems out of the ordinary. Spectacles that never seemed possible now become a flesh and soul reality. In this mystical realm comes the tale of an event that turns heads in this town of daily miracles. Welcome to the world of Final Examination Kujira! In the past, Mutsumi and Sae enjoyed a friendship and many adventures. When their time together came to an end, they made plans to meet again in the future at an appointed time and place. At the appointed time, however, there is no sign of Mutsumi. A few years later, Mutsumi happens to pass through the designated meeting place on his way to school where he meets Sae, who has been waiting for him all these years. They resume their play again but, tragically, their reunion doesn't last very long. (Media Blasters)
