It's evident that Sandler wasn't involved in the screenplay for this film at all. They simply wanted to cast him in the film as a goofy character who ends up saving the day. However, this buddy movie simply doesn't work because those two aren't buddies, and they never become them. Annoying characters in a tedious story that lacks any original ideas.

An average action road-movie/comedy with a shoddy screenplay. But it works well enough as casual entertainment, which is mainly thanks to the central duo of Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler, who do a great job of delivering some of the jokes.
