Plots(1)
After years of sponging off a fabulously wealthy older woman, four ridiculously beautiful boys are confronted with the most horrifying challenge ever: use their bishi skills to turn their benefactor's socially challenged niece into a beautiful young lady or start paying rent! And this isn't just any ugly duckling they're facing; she's a psycho, paranoid, neurotic horror movie obsessed goth chick with a fetish for anatomical dummies, bad skin and a total ignorance of all things feminine! The first episode was really great, they say "it blew me away", right? -_^ But after that it slowly started to lose its breath until it ended up softly gasping. I was glad Sunako didn't do what heroines of such shōjo stories usually do – fall in love immediately after the first good thing the person does. And she stayed the same. Wow, that’s different, I thought. Except that even that starts to annoy you and you think, this could use some romance. Note: you won’t get any. All you get here is a heaping – over-the-top – mountain of omake scenes and various deformities that also quickly start to get on your nerves. Of course, the series does have moments that I really enjoyed, but as I said, they're really just little moments and there aren’t many of them. Which is a shame, because it has some potential. Well, I guess I'll even watch the manga because of that "hidden potential" since it's alleged to be better... And that goth, goth, loli, loli – by their third time on screen, I wanted to wipe them from the face of the earth. EDIT.: You’ll do better to check out the dorama, it's many times better :-)) ()
