I haven’t read the comic, so I went into the series with no big expectations. I enjoyed the pilot — it introduced some interesting characters and the local preacher’s rather depressing flock. There were a decent number of action scenes and even a touch of existential philosophy. I was a bit thrown off by the medieval armory on the private jet during Cassidy’s entrance, but hey, what do I know about private jet amenities?
