Plots(1)
During World War II, simple Norwegian fisherman Erik Toresen (Paul Muni) finds his peaceful village under siege by the Nazis. After an elderly villager is tortured by the invaders, Toresen mobilizes the members of his community villagers and leads them on their way to becoming a fierce troop to be reckoned with. Once the Nazis catch on to Toresen's ways, he escapes to England with four of his fellow countrymen in order to lead British troops against the Germans, who are headed for the Arctic supply lines.
