It's hardly a coincidence, but the creators are wrapping up the third season in a similar concept to the second, with the ninth episode delivering a bombastic climax. In the previous season it was Stannis vs the Lannisters, here it is a wedding. The whole scene is breathtakingly shot and brutally uncompromising. Certainly one of the best episodes of the series, with a single scene completely drowning out the rest of the episode.

One of the few truly action-packed episodes. It felt like an entirely different creative team took over for this one. Every storyline delivered intense action, and the wedding massacre was just the cherry on top.
