JSS (2015) (S06E02)

English I enjoyed this episode even more than the first. It was brutally raw and resonated with me, partly because it didn't feature too many zombies. Honestly, the endless horde of rotting walkers can get a bit repetitive. Carol was back in top form, which was a highlight for me. On the other hand, Morgan's zen-like approach was incredibly irritating. ()

Thank You (2015) (S06E03)

English Another great episode. There’s still a palpable tension between the longtime residents and the newcomers, which keeps things interesting. I appreciate that the creators aren’t afraid to sacrifice main characters occasionally — it really keeps the story fresh and exciting. ()

Here's Not Here (2015) (S06E04)

English Probably the most tedious episode so far. Morgan’s backstory just didn’t interest me at all. I couldn’t care less about his struggles, whom he met, or what he learned. The only saving grace was the funny Eastman; the rest was just dull, dull, dull. ()

Now (2015) (S06E05)

English Compared to the previous episode, this one was a breath of fresh air. Then again, it wasn't hard to surpass the fourth episode. The action seemed to take a backseat for a coffee break, leaving us with moral dilemmas that made the story stagnate as usual. ()

Always Accountable (2015) (S06E06)

English It seems like the third season is losing steam pretty quickly. This episode felt like filler, just giving viewers their weekly dose without any real progression. ()

Heads Up (2015) (S06E07)

English I feel duped — Glenn's not dead! I was praising the show for occasionally killing off major characters. While there's plenty of action, some situations are becoming too predictable, and there’s an increasing number of annoying characters (Morgan, Ron, Gabriel, Enid). ()

Start to Finish (2015) (S06E08)

English After the last three dreadful episodes, this one finally brought a breath of fresh, dead air. I wasn't bored and had a pretty solid time watching. It's just a shame they haven't eliminated the characters that have been annoying me for ages. ()

No Way Out (2015) (S06E09)

English What a letdown. Sure, there was plenty of action, the plot moved along nicely, and the losses kept piling up, but it was all marred by a flood of illogical moments. Seriously, there were just too many this time (Running out of ammo? No problem! Just light a fire with an RPG., having a discussion in the middle of a zombie horde, a scent disguise where the head sticks out like a beacon, ten bikers not noticing a guy aiming an RPG at them from ten meters away, and so on). The bizarre demise of the Anderson clan was the cherry on top of this mess. ()

The Next World (2015) (S06E10)

English Not much happened in this episode, and I initially thought I'd rate it lower, but the hilarious duo had me in stitches. The character of Jesus was a fantastic addition, sparking some great comedic moments. I'm still laughing at the pond scene. ()

Knots Untie (2015) (S06E11)

English A pretty average episode. There was a lot of talking, Rick missed a pothole big enough to swallow a car, and then there was more talking. I have to give Rick credit for livening things up towards the end, but Jesus’s potential for situational humor was sadly underutilized. ()

Not Tomorrow Yet (2015) (S06E12)

English More action-packed, with fewer zombies, and I have to say I prefer these episodes. The zombies look great, but there's not much more they can do beyond shuffling and biting. The living characters, however, bring a lot more creativity and unpredictability to the table. ()

The Same Boat (2015) (S06E13)

English The episode was a bit more intimate, which I didn't mind, but the internal struggles and doubts are starting to wear on me. Morgan and Gabriel have always been too much, and now they're starting to mess with Carol. On the bright side, Maggie's trap was a highlight and gave me a good laugh. ()

East (2015) (S06E15)

English It feels like the show's starting to slip out of the creators' hands. The characters' actions are making less sense, logic seems to have taken a break, and yet another character has been captured. I get it, we're six seasons in, but if they're out of ideas, maybe it's time to think about wrapping it up for good. ()

Last Day on Earth (2015) (S06E16)

English The flood of illogical moments continues, but I have to give props to the writer for drawing inspiration from the one-way street system in my town. Anyone who's experienced that will agree that meeting Negan might seem like a tempting escape from such a tricky and nerve-wracking trap. ()

Season 7 (2016) (S07)

English Season 7 is evidence that the series is clearly going downhill. Everything I loved about Season 1 is gone. The plot isn't dynamic enough, everything is drowned in constant philosophizing, and logic is taking way too much time off. The writers often contradict themselves, so the rules for the undead that they had originally established cease to apply, the story gradually turning into a farce. Negan, a promising new character, behaves in a completely stereotypical way unable to offer anything new after two episodes, while Rick desperately needs to be put out of his misery. ()

The Day Will Come When You Won't Be (2016) (S07E01)

English After what the creators did in season six, I wasn’t expecting anything amazing. To be honest, it turned out a bit better than I anticipated, and that's thanks to Negan. This Joker of The Walking Dead carried the entire episode. Unfortunately for him, I spent way too much time staring at close-ups of Rick's face. Plus, the constant attempts to tug at my heartstrings didn't really work on me. ()

The Well (2016) (S07E02)

English Boooooooring. That's exactly how the dragged-out plot of the second episode felt. Why wasn’t Shiva the tiger animated? It would have been just as realistic as that digital disaster and way funnier. Every time Morgan twirls his staff, I'm torn between laughing and crying. Carol’s attempt at a hermit life is annoyingly stupid, and the whole episode felt painfully tedious. ()

The Cell (2016) (S07E03)

English At first, I thought this might be a solid episode. The focus was on Daryl, and Dwight's character got some (relative) depth. I was expecting a less action-packed but tension-filled episode. I got the no-action part, but the tension was missing too, leaving us with a lot of filler instead. ()

Service (2016) (S07E04)

English So far, this has been the best episode of the season, giving me a sliver of hope that things might pick up. However, there are two things that bother me. First, I really wish Negan had taken out the annoying Carl in the first episode. Second, I'm starting to worry that Negan's constant antics will get old and fall into a predictable pattern. 3*+ ()

Go Getters (2016) (S07E05)

English Episode five kicked off with some emotional moments at the graves, but the real WTF moment came when bonfires were lit, the radio blared, and walkers stumbled through open gates. The entire community seemed unfazed, except for the two action heroines from Alexandria, making it clear the writer must have been on something. From then on, I treated the episode as a comedy. But seriously, where did Enid get the helium? ()
