This concluding part is a bit better than the first movie. There are some hints of the atmosphere of the original anime series at times, although it feels a bit too forced and simply for effect. Even the confrontation between the two main protagonists does not come across as strongly and interestingly as it should. The ideas are there; there are some attempts at some intense moments, although in the end, they do not pull it off, and it does not work as it should, in my opinion. I did not find both movies pointless, just considerably under-developed even though I can actually live with this second installment in the end. I think it is worth 6.6/10. ()
