After leaving a party together, coworkers David (Brian Geraghty), Emily (Alice Eve) and Corey (Josh Peck) stop at an ATM. Pulling into a desolate parking lot, Corey gets out to get cash and a routine transaction turns into a struggle for survival when an unknown man appears outside blocking their exit. With the wintry temperatures dipping below freezing, and the morning sunrise still hours away, they have no choice but to play the man's deadly game of cat-and-mouse. (Showtime)

The movie ATM was a disappointment for me because, based on the trailer, I thought it could be a good thriller. It's not a good thriller because it doesn't build suspense well. The interesting initial situation is led to its anticipated and uninteresting conclusion, only to be followed by a twist that is dull and uninteresting in line with the spirit of the whole film. It's weak, but it might appeal to some people. On TV.

Christ on a cross! This is some very lightweight horror for very undemanding viewers… It’s pretty decently made, but everything is so derivative that, already a few minutes after watching, I hardly remember anything. And no, there isn’t any German hiding things at my place. But on top of it, it pissed me off passively, rather than actively.
