Eunice (Amanda Plummer) wanders along Britain's highways, looking for love in all the wrong places. Gas stations, to be exact. She burst in and asks the girls behind the counter if their name happens to be Judith. But it never is – and the cashiers tend to end up dead. Nome est omen. Miriam (Saskia Reeves) is also unlucky enough not to be named Judith, but she shows enough tenderness towards Eunice to live another day. A tender romance ensues, but psychopaths are as easily housebroken as tigers - and a gentle love affair is no match for strong homicidal urges. (Internationales Filmfest Oldenburg)
