Lucy (Cristin Milioti) has a new husband, a new home and a new baby, but old ghosts won't let her be. She has dedicated her life to helping families "break the cycle" of abuse, so when she and her husband Wade see the echoes of a violent family tragedy in their home, Lucy tries to help the tortured souls break free of their torment and move on. It presents itself as a good thriller with an unexpected ending, but it isn't innovative or different enough for that. It's a bit amateurish, and the digital camera doesn't help much. The final twist unfortunately isn't that unexpected, which is simply because there are many similar films and today's audience won't be as shocked by it. But it's nice to see that the mother from How I Met Your Mother acts in places other than just television. After The Wolf of Wall Street, it's something new again.
