English Every person in the world lives their happier or less happy life. Thomas, for example, lives a contented life, financially absolutely secure, which is more common among Northerners than, for example, among Czechs in my opinion. From that, I also deduce the opinion that Northerners are generally incredibly spoiled people who seek complexities in simplicities. Thomas also seeks this, as instead of adopting a child in other European countries, he tries it straight in Brazil, but in Brazil, he goes to find a child directly in the slums. Well, why not, his fight. Thanks to that, the film is very interesting in the end. It shows the life of a classic Brazilian, who does not have life on a string, like he does, and presents the incredible differences that two completely different nationalities reveal between each other. At first, it seemed absolutely crazy to me, it seemed as if a spoiled person didn't know what to do with money and so invested it in his joy, which eventually backfired on him. It should be so. In the end, I understood it a little, but still... I can't imagine anyone in the Czech Republic thinking about it. We are probably not such a spoiled nation to be attacked by such things. However, for the atmosphere of the film and the depiction of life in Brazilian slums, this film definitely deserves attention, and above all, these are the only reasons why I endured watching the film.
