It’s as if the end of the world ruined the Homolka family's vacation. The film draws on the human quality that allows homo sapiens to convince themselves, in the interest of their own convenience, that nothing really matters, no matter what happens. That it sometimes rains blood? And that night is not quite night? And those shooting stars and clouds of locusts? We have our own worries to deal with. It will go away and things will be fine again. Ummm... Maybe for some people. ()
