Danny Trejo is such a natural badass that I don’t even need to believe he’s playing a character—he just is that guy, and it works perfectly. He carries this film effortlessly, turning what could’ve been a throwaway action flick into something solid. Trejo proves that when a movie’s built around him, he doesn’t need the flashy hype of something like Machete to deliver a great action-packed ride. ()
Danny Trejo as a badass who kicks the asses of those who the police couldn't care less about or are too short with them. It's terribly predictable, but I still can't help it, this is just quite cool. He's a nobody (although a veteran from Vietnam) who gives the jerks a hard time. I like Trejo, so that's about it. ()
