The Whore is exactly the kind of film that used to convince me years ago that the Germans don’t make good movies. It tries to pass itself off as a historical drama, but it's really just pure romance novel material. Poorly made, tough to watch, and somehow it turned into a trilogy in Germany. What happened to people's taste? I honestly have no idea.
