English A Canadian western? Indeed it is. A smaller budget doesn't have to be a problem. It's evident right from the beginning that the creators had an idea in mind. Slow and calm, which is in harmony with the beautiful nature. I admit I prefer westerns where there's a bit more focus on characters, showdowns, and shooting, rather than opium-induced hallucinations and slow, almost sleep-inducing camera movements. Unfortunately, the story is a weak point. Towards the end, the film tries to portray itself as a gritty western. It succeeds in places, but those Canadians just look odd in there. ()
